Part play, part competition the yearlings (year-and-a-halflings really) are acting like kids. Sorry about the fencing but if I go inside they stop and come see me. These were taken from my kitchen window.
p.s. this blog will include art again...but just photography again today.
Gold (Phoebe) and silver (Fame) medalists take their positions..
Such cuties.
ReplyDeleteAre their personalities very different?
Jala, yes, quite. They came from the same breeder but are unrelated. Phoebe is rather vocal about her love for her treats, grain and tree branches (which I deliver at least once daily). I'm afraid someone told them they are well-bred diary goats, not 'brush' goats; they have little to no interest in grass, weeds, vines - they want oak and sycamore trees. Fame is very affectionate, loves to be with me and be scratched and petted, likes food treats but is not obsessed like Phoebe. Fame will walk on a leash better than my dogs do at times, Fame balks and rears regularly, but will come along. Phoebe nips occasionally, more when I 1st got her, Fame never.
